Dover Handyman (trading name, operated by Richard Lim, Dover CT16) takes data seriously. This page is the short version.

What we collect

• If you contact us (email, phone, WhatsApp, form): your name, contact details, postcode, and whatever you tell us about the job. We use this to quote and deliver the job. Nothing else.
• If you visit the site: standard analytics - page views, approximate location, device type. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for this. No advertising cookies, no remarketing pixels, no third-party ad networks.

What we don’t do

• We don’t share your information with third parties for marketing.
• We don’t add you to any mailing list without you asking.
• We don’t keep enquiry data longer than needed - typically 12 months after the job, then deleted.

Form submissions

The contact form on this site posts directly to a script on our own server, which sends the message to our hello@doverhandyman.co.uk inbox. No third-party form processor is involved. Your submission is stored in server logs for troubleshooting purposes for 30 days and then rotated out.

Analytics

Google Analytics 4 records anonymised visit data (page views, session length, approximate country/region). We use it to understand which pages are useful and which aren’t. You can opt out via your browser’s Do Not Track setting or by installing Google’s GA4 opt-out browser add-on.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to: confirm what data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop processing it. Email hello@doverhandyman.co.uk for any of those. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

The site sets a small number of cookies: GA4 for analytics only. No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, no third-party marketing pixels.
